Having been a self-employed artist for three decades, I understand the creative life well. The left-brained activities of sorting and filing receipts, entering and recording transactions, tracking data and job costing are all fun for me. I'm inspired how a spreadsheet can become a map of one's daily, yearly, lifetime activities, and that a general ledger is essentially a quilt.
